The Art Gallery #3

May 6th,2009 the grade 5/6 OO class went to the Moose Jaw Art Gallery! We went as a class field trip!

On the tour we saw 3 different art exhibits!

First we saw Neil Mcleod. His paintings were pretty original.He is a First Nation and he painted one with a Regina Theme.His was like Graffiti.He had faces, and buildings(Regina), and he also had writing on practically all of them! He splattered paint on them cause it looked like they were moving!

Second we saw Allen Harding Mckay. His is pasteled based on pictures from a movie. How he did that was he took pictures of parts of the movie... then pasteled the picture! He based them on Afghanistan! It was pretty amazing!

Last but not leased the third gallery! The Wood Kin work of Saskatchewan. That exhibit they worked on clay pots and sculptures. They did Vases, bowls,and lots more!

Finally we got to the art. We all made boxes with clay. we got handed a piece of clay and we put designs on them then folded them like a box and made a lid. It was a lot of fun!

Earth day!!

Today at our school and probably others it is earth day! At 3:00 we get to go outside to our field and around the hole property of the school we clean up, and pick up garbage! It's going to be very interesting! It's going to be fun because you miss school...and you are helping the enviorment at the same time which is really cool! Plus it is going to be very gross picking up garbage which you don't know who or where it came from... lol! Me and my friends are going to also wipe of our blue benches because people stand on them and they get really muddy! So we will be out side and cleaning all over the school yard until home time... and I hope we get gloves...! We always have green day every year! The hole school comes to help!

On Saturday My cousins came out to visit! we went down stairs to go watch TV! It got really boring so we decided to play in my room... that got boring to so we went upstairs to watch my aunt, uncle,mom, my dad, and Austin(my brother). Play Monopoly the new kind..... We decided we wanted to play a game to! So we went to the closet! And we found twister! So we went to the living room playced it down and started to play!. It boring with only 3 people playing so we went to bag my mom and dad, aunt, and Uncle to play with us! that went well cause they were finished with Monoply and was just hangin' out! My anty, my brothers,me, and my cousin played! In the middle of the game everyone that was playing looked like we were a big pretzel! soon after that they left! We finally went to bed about 2 in the morning it so rocked!

Spring puddles!!!

Saturday 21st Me and my little brother went out side to play in puddles! We had a humongous puddle on our lawn! I thought what the heck I will go in to the puddle.... I had originally had not planed on play in puddles! It seemed to be not to deep and the deep parts looked like it was iced over enough that I could walk over them! So I went out! I went into the small part first just to make sure it wouldn't be over my boot! That was not a problem... When I went to the deep parts I walked on it for a bit and I thought that was pretty good so I went to the house to get something.... I forget what! when I came back I remembered that I hadn't fallen through last time so why would I fall in now! So I went to the deep part! and guess what..................................I fell right through the water! But that wasn't it I fell face first into the discustingly dirty water!!!OMG I thought to myself!~

Podcast

Today March 19, 2009 I learned what a podcast is! A podcast is something that you learned: Books you have read, projects, and other stuff like that!!! Kids take turns sharing a fact about the subject, and put it onto a podcast thing! The won I listened to had music between kids talking, and annoying giggling sound that sounded like chipmunks laughing! It sounded like a radio show.I went to grade 6 podcast! I could podcast about any thing really like I said earlier you can talk about a book, projects, and stuff I do at school, class room trips, movies you watched!!!

Spring!!!

Spring is finally here!!! On Saturday it was 10 degrees above (Celsius)!!! I was out side with no Jacket, and wait there is more...I was in a T-shirt!!!Oh Ya!!!We didn't even have a hoodie on! It so rocked! i finally go to play out side without it being cold, and or blissarding!! I was so exited when my friend wanted to play!!!
We played in puddles! and we had a snowball fight... Even though I got nailed in the head by one it was still fun!!! My brother and his friend played in mud!! So me and my friend broke it by stepping in them! I LOVE spring! Every one seems to be so much happier... I mean you don't see any body complaining
about bad roads or anything like that! I mean the snow was melting!!!

Hey!! We skyped with Alex, our mentor! It was so awsome!!! We a saw and visited with Alex!! It was like she was in the room! To see her we had a dude put a web cam in our room it was pretty cool!!! We could see her on our prothem smat board!!! We saw her and she saw us!!! We asked her a few questions! Then we got down to buisness!! A couple of days before we... When I talk about we I am talking about me and my class! Well we made book reports... as you can see! and Alex tought us how to put them on our blogs! She so rocks!! Some of us coulden't just add it on a post! If that happend we had to go on You Tube! Luckily I got it on!!! If you check on Alex's blog you will see she made a post about us!! That is me and Cortni in the picture!!! She rocks... And if you are reading this Alex Thank you You so rock!!!!

Our last Basketball game of the season!!!

We went to basketball game on Monday March 2.... Guess what... we got creamed!!! We were all pretty proud of our self's!!! " It's our hardest game"We all complained! They beat us 18-52 ya we all were very proud because they were a rough team fast and when they got to the net they shot they got all the baskets!!!They were GOOD! But we had VERY good team work! We actually tried!!!NO ONE GAVE UP!!! Even though we didn't win we felt an accomplishment! The bus ride to Mortlach was pretty crazy! 2 people on our bus were hitting each other and they got into trouble!!!

Gym Blast~!~!

Woo-Hoo!! That's what the kids were yelling while running in the gym this noon!! Me and my friend Lauran signed up for K~4 gym blast! Lauran and I signed up to do hoola hoops!!! Wow was that a mess! There were other people that needed them for there game but we needed them more and they would only let us have any more than 2 or 3 when we needed them more we ended up having to take 1 more( with their permission). We had not very much planed so we did different things with different for each group! We played a game were it was like musical chairs but it wasn't! We put all the hoola hoops down spreaded around and they ran around them and when we said stop they had to find a hoop to stop on!!! We had lots of fun!!

My Break

Winter Break... I thought it would be Fun!!! Me and my family was suposed to go to Edmonton for the break. Guess what my dads boss made my dad have another load! To go somewhere else after Edmonton!!!SO............. We Could not go it was sad. My Aunty that lives there and we were going to visit her! My Aunt Trains dogs for police. So Police dogs! She also has lotsa horses! We were sad but my little brother was sadest... He loves dogs!And to make madders worse he also likes horses! Well after that I stayed at home! Until.... I phoned Madelenie my friend and we had a sleepover! It was fun. we went swimming and I tried to get to the bottom of the pool but I coulden't So Maddie offerd to step on my head to get me down we did that about 6 times then I finally told her we should stop so we did! We then went back and forth form Hot tub to deep end. We saw Daniel a kid from my class. We stayed at the pool till 3:30. Then she went home. We went home and the rest of the week was BORING!!LOL

Valentines dance

Woo-hoo that was what me and Lauran were yelling when school finally ended!!!Well... Me and Lauran were yelling a lot of things but I can garentee that  we were yelling. I was going to Laurans house after school to get ready for the dance together!!!! When we were walking down the street still yelling... Her sister told us to control our selves... But that was not in our vocabulary list... Well not that night. When we got to her house we went to her Orange and Blue room and had a PARTY... Thats right I said it PPPPAAAARRTTTYYY! Then we went down stairs to listen to music... like an hour later Ceanna&Caisia came! 5 minites later we were at the dnace partying hard!!! OH YA! Then we Danced till 9:00 then everyone went home!!

Recognition Lunch

Yum... Pizza and ice cream Sandwiches!! That is what Lindale school helpers said yesterday when they got...Well Pizza and yummy Ice cream sandwiches!!! These are Me and my friends...Lauran, me,ceanna,leara,kyah,and finally Caisia! We were haveing a lot of fun!!

Willy Wonka....Not what I had Expected!

Last Wednesday The Do It With class theatre performed Willy Wonka! It wasn't what I thought it would be like! I thought we would sit in the auditorium but we sat on the back of the stage. I sat beside Maddie And Lauran!!! My favourite part was the Ommpa-Lompas! I loved their theme song: Oompa_Lompa dipped do I got another puzzle for you... So on and so forth! On the bus I sat with Lauran. We listen to our I pods, and her MP3. That part was fun! coming back from Willy Wonka Me and my friend Lauran fell asleep!!! but... Spencer and Garrett wouldn't stop talking to us!!!(...You bugger you love her!!!) Just kidding! We got to school and then went home!!!

Sleep over!!! 5:00!!!

On Friday I went to Caisia's birthday party!!! I got her a t- shirt with butterflies on it, and a butterfly necklace, and earrings, and I also got her some vanilla perfume. I think she liked it!!!

When we got to her house we went to her room and listened to the music.......A little loud!!! I brought my camera and we played with that for awhile. We video taped Caisia and Ceanna singing "our song" by Taylor Swift. Then she gave us our candy bags.....What a mistake! Lauran stuffed it into her mouth... and she was SCARY!!! I stuffed 16 Mike and Ike in my mouth. It was chewy!

Then I ate all the chocolate... MAN! was I wired!

After that we went down stairs and stole guitar hero from Jaxyn! That was so fun. I ROCKED!

Then we stole the whole Wii from Jaxyn we made Mii's. I was so pretty... Did you know when you finish you butt bounce onto the screen... I sure as heck didn't!!! I liked it so much I freaked out! But that was when I was on a sugar high!!!

Then we played super star buggy... I won about every time... I am not bragging! We shared it back and forth and then Caisia and Ceanna made a dance. And me and Lauran sang against each other then we sang a doubt together that was so fun. Then Lauran tryed to sing S.O.S by the Jonas brothers... What a bad song choice for us. Then we went upstairs and ate! We went to her room did each others hair and make up, I really didn't what to do that but they made me!!!... How dare they! Then Caisia had gave us a sucker with plastic lips on the end and We took pictures with them in our lips!! Then we went down stairs and watched part one of the Titanic and then we ran upstairs and she opened her presents. Then we watched part two and Momma Mia... Song after song after song. About 3:00pm Caisia fell asleep and Me, Lauran, Ceanna could not go to sleep so we stayed up till 5:00 Then we finally decided to fall asleep. In the morning Lauran left and the rest of the day was slow!

Hair cut!

On Wendsday I went to town to get my hair cut, but first Andrew had to go to the docter first. So we went to the docters office and we had to wait 40 minetes. So we went to Claire's! It was 12 items for $6! So I got 12 things. I was so happy! After we went to Claire's we walked around the mall! After about 40 minets we went back to the docters office. We waited there for a half hour waiting and my mom finally decided we were going to leave! So we went to First choice hair cutters and got my split ends off. Then I had to close my eyes for when she cut my bangs! Now I LOVE them!

Skating

On the weekend I stayed home! But I did have a fun weekend. My Brothers friend came over and on Saturday I did nothing. But on Sunday....... On Sunday I Wanted to go skating. So I made my brother and his friend shovel the ice. When I got my skates on my brother... who knows I can't balence well on skates pushed me over in the Snow I was FROZEN! But he did not care!

I am a basketball and I am proud of it! I joined the B-Ball team because one of my bffs made me! But I am so happy she did!

Skating

Each Tuesday and Friday we go skating! We get to listen to music while we are skating! It is fun! The rink STINKS but I get used to it.....Some what. This is a picture of me and Lauran having fun on the ice. We girls usually either do a train...Or a chain! It's so awesome. When we do a train it is so hard not to crash! When we do a chain the only thing that is pretty hard is either when we turn corners or if somone falls and we have to let go. It is pretty scary when that happens. The first time we skated the ice was nice. But the past week has been awful. It has had cracks that your skate gets stuck in or bumps that you go over and trip on the figure skates pic. Wow that brings back memories. I always get the pic stuck and I fall on my face which you would think would do damage to my face but now I am still pretty!

My sleep over with "Hunny"

On Friday I had a sleepover with Honey. Her name is actually Caisia. You will see later in my story why call her Honey. Ok on with my story. On Friday I went on Caisia's bus to her house to have a sleepover! We got off the bus ( like any NORMAL kid would do). When we got off we were walking towards her house when the bus got stuck in her deep snow and had started to slid towards her big bush! The driver finally got out of the situation and drove away! When that was all done we went in her house and had a snack! After we had a snack we went down stairs to play her Wii. We played Super star. We decided that we liked singing better than dancing! So we started to sing. We had a lot of fun. Later on that night we saw brownies in the cupboard and we wanted to make them. After her mom made a Delicious chicken fingers we made our brownies! While they were cooking we started our movies. After the movie they were done cooking, so we went to get them. We got our brownies out and they had to cool so after we took them out we went back downstairs to watch another movie. We went upstairs about half way done and had a Brownie or two. Then we went to watch more movies. We stayed up watching movies till 3:00 in the morning then fell asleep. In the morning after we got every thing upstairs we decided to have cereal. We wanted rice krispeies and honey. All she had was the buttery kind like hard. So we melted it in the micro wave! It was really hot so we put it in the fridge after 3 minutes or so we thought that it would be cool. (I THINK NOT). Of course me and Caisia stuck our fingers in it and guess what it was hot. So Caisia put it in her mouth and burned her toung. That is how she got the nick name "honey". The rest of the day we played Wii. Then I went home.

Skateing

Today we are going skateing. We go skating every single Tuesday and Friday! Which is a good thing because I like skateing. Last time we went to the Kingsmen to skate I got a big scrape on my ancle from my skate. It really herts. Skateing is so much fun to me. We have a skateing party every year at home. We have a pond that is so big we like to bring a barrel and put wood in it and warm up our hands because we stay out there all day. This year I think I am going to organize one this weekend.

OUCH!! Knee problem

Ouch!!! That is what I said yesterday Sunday the 4th! Me and my family decided we wanted to go sledding!We went to the lake! There were lots of hills but to deep of snow so me and my brothers had to pack it down ourselves!once we got it packed down we sledded down I got 5 face washes just by hitting little bumps, and going fast through un padded snow! My eye lashes were covered in snow by the time we were down! It was so fun... Then when we were done there was not enough room for all of us so the kids went in the back. Of cores me as smart as a rock I forgot my mittens in the truck so I jumped out of the truck not thinking and I hit me knee REALLY hard on the hitch on the back of the truck It hert so much! So I just sat in the truck! Then we got hot chocolate at Tim Horton's and went home! When we got home I layed down for a minute and when I got up my knee started to hert the most! So I got a ice pack and put it on my knee! of course that was not good enough so I took the cloth away and I put it on! then I went to bed!!!

Christmas dance

December 18th are school from 5-8 had a christmas dance. It was so awsome. Our class went on the stage to do the chicken dance! It was alittle scary. I almost fell of the stage because kyah turned arond and acsadentaly pushed me. luckily Lauran saved me by grabing my arm! We had dosens of snowballs and they all were really fun I danced with lots of people including my brother! It was my job to make him embaressed so we I danced with him I huged him while we danced. Well I danced and he put his finger out on my fore head! Me and my friends were having so much fun!
